National Bank created an experience showcasing global innovative offices in a contemporary designed space at IDS13. In partnership with cool curator Trend Hunter and designer Jentry Chin, the bank displayed 23 of the most innovative offices from around the world, based on the concept that inspired spaces lead to inspired work. Titled WORK.SPACE and thematically in line with IDS13’s concept space “How Do You Work?”, the booth explored corporate offices designed to motivate and evoke creativity.
As presenting sponsor, the design-savvy bank’s WORK.SPACE provided IDS visitors with an insider’s look at the most compelling headquarters around the world in a digital gallery. Commissioned by National Bank as the gallery curator, Trend Hunter, the world's largest, most popular trending community, brought the most thought-provoking office spaces to IDS13. Featured ground-breaking spaces included Corus Entertainment™, Google™, Microsoft™, Saatchi and Saatchi™ and Lego™.

Proud sponsors of IDS13, Stylegarage and Gus* were pleased to present The Design Lodge. Attendees had the chance to see the ultimate modern lodge, complete with a restored 1964 Bombardier RD64 Snowmobile, ample seating by Gus* Design Group, and a fire pit with cozy seating made from vintage Porsche fabrics. The Design Lodge served rustic Canadian fare created by Toronto’s Food Dudes, including hot chocolate with homemade torched marshmallows and the Dudes’ mac & cheese with smoked tomato ketchup.
For over a decade, the Stylegarage retail storefront in the Art & Design district of Queen Street West has been bringing its custom-made, locally designed furniture to stylish residential and commercial spaces around Toronto. With its newest outpost in Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood, the Stylegarage collection, known for its customizable sofas, bespoke credenzas, and solid wood dining tables and accents, is now more accessible than ever.
Launched out of the Stylegarage basement in 2002, the Gus* Modern collection is based on some of Stylegarage’s original designs, and has grown into a well-known collection of in-stock furniture, accents and accessories that pay homage to mid-century archetypes. The Gus* upholstery collection, which includes both colourful fabrics and more subdued, menswear-inspired looks, can be found at modern furniture showrooms across Canada and the United States, including New York City’s design destination, ABC Carpet & Home. New Gus* Modern designs include the Gardiner and Carmichael beds, as well as the beautifully shaped, solid wood Hull Coffee table.
