Casey House First Seating

The IDS11 Opening Night Party's charitable partner was Casey House. In a unique fundraising campaign, 20 of Canada’s most celebrated designers and architects were tasked with rethinking and reimagining one of the design world’s most iconic pieces—the Vitra Panton Chair. 

Crystallized, upholstered and laser lit, these one-off pieces of wonder were auctioned off at the IDS Opening Night Party on January 27th, 2011. All monies raised went directly to support Casey House.

 

CASEY HOUSE:
Established in 1988 by June Callwood and a dedicated group of volunteers, Casey House is the first free-standing HIV/AIDS hospice in Canada. A unique and compassionate model of care has been evolving since that time allowing Casey House, a specialty hospital with community programming, to deliver on its mission to provide exemplary treatment, support and palliative care for people affected by HIV/AIDS in collaboration with our communities. www.caseyhouse.com.
