People: blackLAB architects provides clients with inspiration & innovation.

Founded by Tony Round, Andrea Kordos, Sarah Knight and Joe Knight, this Toronto-based boutique architectural practice works closely with clients across the entire design process, a tactic that generates powerful results. Multidisciplinary and collaborative in their approach, the studio blurs the connections between architecture, art, graphic design and cinematography, all of which combine to inspire and drive their work. The firm often dedicates time to many forms of social media as a means to communicate their design efforts into the artistic and experimental realms. Follow them on Twitter @blackLABinc.

Recent projects include the transformation of their own blackLAB architects office from a warehouse into a studio space, a new residence on the Grand River in Cambridge, and another on Georgian Bay.

blackLAB architects is one of four design teams participating in “How Do You Work?”, presented by Steel Space, a new IDS13 feature exhibit exploring the boundaries and balance of work, play and life.
