Marilyn Denis is an icon of Canadian broadcasting, not to mention one of the busiest, most fun-loving, and friendly people in the business. This year Marilyn made her highly anticipated return to television as host of her own series, THE MARILYN DENIS SHOW which airs live weekdays on CTV bringing Canadians quality programming and a fun mix of expert and celebrity guests 5 times a week. Marilyn balances her daily television show with daily radio as co-host on Roger, Darren & Marilyn weekday mornings on Toronto’s #1-ranked radio station 104.5 CHUM FM. A true trailblazer in the world of broadcasting, Marilyn Denis became the first female DJ at KRPL in Moscow Idaho before moving on to Canada where she has held various radio positions. A key personality in Toronto radio and television, Marilyn’s quick wit, and ability to connect with the audience and her quintessential charm have made her one of the most beloved women in Canadian broadcasting. A triple Gemini Award-winner (including back-to-back Viewers Choice Awards), Marilyn has also received The Rosalie Award (in 2006), honouring Canadian women who have paved the way for others in radio broadcasting.

Tommy Smythe & Mark Challen

Quick witted and larger than life, Tommy Smythe is best known as Sarah Richardson’s “design sidekick” on the series Sarah’s House now in its third season on HGTV. On-set Tommy tackles full-scale renovations as a stylish site manager with a reactive personality. Acting as her feisty foil on screen, Tommy has also worked with Sarah as an integral member of her design team for over seven years. Off-set, Tommy is a regular contributor to Canadian House and Home among other Canadian design magazines. He is recognized for his well balanced style often juxtaposing the traditional with the contemporary. Over the last 11 years Tommy has honed an appreciation of fine art and antiques and has managed numerous entire home renovations.

Mark Challen
Style Expert and VP of Communications, House & Home Media Style and decorating expert

Mark Challen is the Vice-President of Communications for House & Home Media, where he oversees a diverse portfolio of Canadian and international design, fashion and home entertaining clients. Working with high-profile companies like Kraft, IKEA, The Home Depot and P&G, Mark creates innovative multi-media campaigns for House & Home Magazine. As an on-camera host and public speaker, Mark’s lively and motivational image-based talks provide audiences across Canada with relevant information and connections between cultural shifts in design, decorating and entertainment. Mark also writes H&H's Destination column that highlights style-worthy boutique hotels. He has been a regular presenter at IDS over the past 12 years.

The affable and talented Brian Gluckstein returns to IDS for the 14th consecutive year. The Toronto-based Interior Designer is known as much for his end luxury interiors, as he is for GlucksteinHome, his high-style line of affordable home furnishings which reflects the luxurious yet functional appeal of his work. Brian’s sophisticated interiors and award-winning commercial and residential design projects are internationally celebrated. His ability to mix timeless pieces with forward-looking design creates a luxurious style that is comfortable yet sophisticated. Projects include One St. Thomas Condominiums, 100 Yorkville, The Four Seasons Hotel/Condominiums Toronto as well as The Four Seasons Spa in Palm Beach. Nationally, Brian has been recognized as one of Canadian House & Home’s favourite Interior Designers, and internationally, he has been as one of the top 35 designers around the world in Andrew Martin’s Interior Design Journal. He has been granted numerous awards including the ARIDO Awards for Excellence in Residential, Commercial and Corporate Design and the National Builders Association of America’s Awards for Excellence in Sales Office and Model Suite Design.

Suzanne Dimma is the Editor-in-Chief of House & Home Magazine, Canada's leading authority on decorating and design. An expert in all matters of style, her 20 years in the world of media encompasses conceptualizing, producing, writing, styling, art directing and hosting her own television series on HGTV. A trained designer, her residential work has been featured in major magazines including House & Home.
